Maui Spa Day

First full day in Maui. What better way to start the week-long vacation that at the spa?

Thankfully, I did a little research when  I was sick early in the week. (How is that for using my time wisely?) I was able to find an option just a few blocks away. Got the family settled in at the beach and took off for a quick walk to Valley Isle Day Spa. The website and location didn’t exactly match (wasn’t expecting a hidden office around that corner is a shopping strip behind the KFC).  However, once you walked in the door, the atmosphere changed. I can say I was transformed by the end of my three hours there into a totally relaxed and rejuvenated vacation girl. Plus, I smelled good.

What did I do that lead to that result? My F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S package that included:

  • Massage – both relaxing and integrative. Took the long airplane ride out of my body.
  • Reflexology – been wanting to try that again after surprising success earlier this year. Lived up to the last appointment.
  • Detoxifying Herbal Wrap – sucked the toxins out of me. No joke.
  • Restorative Body Wrap – refreshed my skin with a layer of seaweed.

BONUS: Found a yoga place below to check out. Hope to get to a class or two later this week. We will see how beat up I feel after tomorrow’s surf lesson.

  1. I’m in Maui in February. Can you send me (or facebook me) the address for this place? Sounds awesome…
Looking for a good deep tissue massage. SO tired of going places for a massage and can barely even feel them working on me. I’m the type of person that doesn’t think I’ve gotten my money’s worth if my muscles aren’t sore later. 😉

    1. Of course! Where are you staying when you are in Maui? At the end of my trip, I will recap for you the things we did that were great, the things we wished we could do and the things to avoid.

  2. We’re staying at my mother in law’s time share…um, not exactly sure where but it’s on the beach at some point. ha ha…Guess that might be good information. I’m just thrilled we don’t have to pay for it and our little family has our own suite… Awwwww. I wish I was there now. I’m SO looking forward to this.
